Pinball machines

Pinball machines may draw their roots from at least as far back as the 15th century, when various outdoor and large-scale games, involving knocking down pins with a ball, made the progression onto the table top. Probably the history of pinball is also intertwined with that of games like pool, snooker and particularly bagatelle – a table-top game played with a cue, where balls were fired up a table.

The first electrically-powered bagatelle-type games appeared in the 1930s and digital technology has ensured that pinball can compete for the attentions of gamers even in the age of mindblowing computer graphics and complicated gameplay.
